Seamus began his journey with Clancy at just 14, starting in the Library Division. Every summer, he returned to build on his growing knowledge and experience within Clancy’s diverse operations. After completing high school and gaining valuable internships throughout college at Clancy, he took on the role of crew leader in the Datacenter Relocation division, specializing in managing and relocating equipment in raised floor environments. By 2021, Seamus had transitioned into the position of Operations Manager for the Household Moving Division. In 2024, he expanded his expertise further by joining the sales team.

Sustainability is no longer a niche concern, and environmental impact is increasingly considered alongside timing, logistics, and protecting belongings. Moving can generate avoidable waste and emissions when packing supplies are overused, loads are poorly planned, or items that could be donated or recycled are discarded.

To have a less stressful cross-country move, plan and organize early, declutter your belongings, research and book movers in advance, pack systematically with clearly labeled boxes, manage logistics like address changes and utilities promptly, and prepare a separate box of essentials for your arrival. Staying organized and tackling tasks gradually will prevent last-minute rushes and reduce feelings of overwhelm.

To move out of the country, first research your destination, then obtain your passport and necessary visas. Next, create a financial plan, secure housing, and sort out healthcare and important documents. Finally, arrange your belongings by selling or shipping what you can't take, update your addresses and subscriptions, and prepare emotionally for the transition to a new country and culture.
